Start with a finished idea, press play, then change one thing at a time. Sound Machine works best when it feels immediate.
01
Load a starter
Pick a loop with real drums, bass, and melody already in motion.
02
Press start
Let it run, then touch one panel at a time so the machine stays legible.
03
Make it yours
Swap a kit, drag the XY pad, or use the guide notes in Melody Grid. Arpeggiator and Melody Grid are separate modes, so turn ARP off and GRID on when you want the grid to speak. SONG sets the musical key for arp and Melody Grid note content, while SAMPLE ROOT tells the sampler what pitch the imported audio was recorded at. Pattern A is the free editable melody bank, while banks B-D and arrangement tools stay PRO.
Within Pulse
A black field of correspondences.
Not the app. Not the grid. A chamber where sound becomes memory, distance, fire, weather, and return.
Before disturbance, the correspondences wait below the surface.
The field is older than the interface. Touch it and it begins to answer in relation instead of instruction.
This world answers to correspondences instead of controls. Touch the field. Let the machine reveal what the sound already means.

ARP ON = live arpeggiator. Turn ARP OFF and GRID ON to hear or edit the Melody Grid. SONG shapes arp and Melody Grid note content, while SAMPLE ROOT only remaps imported audio pitch.
